Company Background & Qualifications
Taylor & Company Ltd. has been in operation since 2001. Our business is continuously growing, providing service & installation work not only in Hay River but to many surrounding northern communities. Taylor & Company's Journeypersons & Apprentice employees provide a full complement of Plumbing, Heating, Refrigeration, HVAC & Mechanical Services.
Taylor & Company is a COR certified company and holds its safety to the highest standard with company policies and procedures in place. All Taylor & Company permanent employees have been trained in Fall Arrest, WHMIS Training, First aid, AWP and other safety courses. All new permanent and current employees are required to take all safety training courses when available to ensure the safety of all.

Taylor & Company provides full installation and maintenance services for Plumbing, Heating, Sheet Metal, Air-Conditioning Systems, Refrigeration and Controls Systems where applicable. Installation and services are provided for residential and commercial as well as industrial properties.
Mechanical Design-Build Experience.
Over the course of the company’s history, Taylor & Company has designed and installed numerous commercial and industrial mechanical systems. In just the past years, Taylor & Company has managed and implemented dozens of design-build mechanical projects and has more in progress throughout the NWT:

Alternative Fuel, Supply and Service
Mr. Taylor has been in the alternative fuel business since 2001. Among his qualifications is WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) Certification.
Taylor & Company has sold more than 2000 pellet stoves/Wood Stoves and boilers of various sizes for residential and commercial applications with an estimate of 90% of the installations from those sales.
Taylor & Company is one of the largest suppliers in the NWT of bagged wood pellet fuel for distribution to residential/light commercial users.
Taylor & Company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. The Taylor & Company Head Office on the Mackenzie Highway in Hay River is heated primarily with wood pellets due to this commitment to the environment.
Given the depth of knowledge and experience with wood pellets, boilers and stoves, the company has at least twenty (20) years of experience in dealing with wood pellets and their associated products.
All Pellet Biomass projects to date were completed to the highest standards and have met (are meeting) the construction timelines. Installations in Fort Smith were at PWK High School and Fort Smith Health Centre. Hay River installations were at the Department of Transportation Maintenance Garage, and a Hay River central distribution plant for four schools.

Taylor and Company offers an array of trades in Plumbing, Gas Fitting, Refrigeration, Oil Burner, Sheet Metal & WETT Certification. Our certified Journeyperson personnel are dedicated to teaching and molding exceptional trades people in every aspect of the mechanical field. Awards
Andy Taylor, owner and Vice President of the company, was honored to receive the Award of Environmental Excellence in 2011 for work done in relation to the Pellet Boiler Installations in Hay River and Fort Smith. This award is issued by the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists. (NAPEG).
